Ypsilanti is the home of both Eastern Michigan University and Washtenaw Community College. It is an old Michigan City built along the Huron River. Ypsilanti is ideally situated between Ann Arbor and the Detroit area; just 15 minutes from the airport. There are numerous metro parks nearby for hiking and biking.  Rolling Hills Water Park is just minutes away!

Ypsilanti proudly hosts many popular events such as the Heritage Festival, home and garden tours, Elvis Fest, orphan car show, Depot Town Cruise nights,  Latino Festival and many more (see www.Ypsilanti.org, www.annarbor.org)

Museum aficionados can entertain themselves quite easily.  In Ypsilanti are the Fire House Museum, the Automotive Heritage Museum and the Yankee Air Museum. Ann Arbor hosts multiple venues including the U of M art, archeology, and natural history museums.  There is also the Hands-On Museum. Then just 30 minutes to the East is the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village which, of course, are national treasures!
